Our Mission:

At Makes Sense! we serve children from birth to 12. We believe that by supporting children's special needs they will gain the necessary skills to be active participants within their individual environments. Providing quality services is our first priority. We select the best and the brightest professionals to support our children's unique needs. At Makes Sense!, we work and grow together as a community by providing training and support within a collaborative environment. We view families as partners in order to provide a holistic approach to understanding and mastering their children's goals.

Our Values:

Makes Sense! was conceived by Lori Koffler, a New York State licensed Speech Pathologist. Her career began as a clinician who then went on to found a special education preschool, as well as graduate from law school. Even though she loved practicing law, her passion remained rooted in the importance of helping children build their communication and independence skills. Ms. Koffler’s ideology is based on her belief that, “There is no greater fulfillment than facilitating the bright and shining futures of our children.” Makes Sense! is a progression of this passion, made up of a group of like-minded professionals dedicated to exploring each child’s personal needs and supporting them through their journeys to reach their full potential.
